Forcepoint is seeking a qualified full-time professional services engineer to facilitate installation, configuration, integration and training of our commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) cyber products. This individual must be highly motivated, have great interpersonal skills, and be technically proficient, especially with Linux administration and networking.
The successful candidate will be offered specialized training to support our technologies and is expected to become proficient in all aspects of complex software solution deployment. Additionally, the professional services engineer will provide training, troubleshooting, and on-site/remote support to customers. This position requires at least 50% travel CONUS/OCONUS as needed to meet customer and project requirements.Clearance requirement: Active TS/SCI with SSBI
Responsibilities Include:
- Support installation, configuration, integration and training of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) cyber products
- Provide training, troubleshooting, and on-site/remote support to customers
- Prepare documentation to support Certification & Accreditation activities
- Apply knowledge of current IA policies as a contributor to the architecture and design of secure solutions to customer needs and requirements
- Support troubleshooting efforts and on-site/remote support
- Work with various groups within Forcepoint, the government or partners.
Certifications Required:
- DODI 8570.1-M Compliance at IAT level I
- SANS GSEC, Security + preferred
Required Skills and Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in Cyber Security Industry
- Must be able to coordinate collaboratively across traditional engineering disciplines with management and customers
- Beginner to Intermediate Linux/Unix administration knowledge
- Beginner to Intermediate networking knowledge (TCP/IP, Firewalls, routers, etc)
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving installation or application errors
- Experience with cyber security engineering projects and programs for U.S. Government and/or commercial clients
- Experience with supporting/addressing customer training objectives
- Fundamentals of programing logic (e.g. scripting)
- Must possess strong verbal and technical written communication skills
- Understanding of security design and architecture
