Role Description

As a Developer Evangelist for the HelloSign API, you’ll be part of a dynamic group of technologists passionate about helping developers take advantage of the Dropbox platforms. In this role, you’ll build on your technical and communication skills to create awareness and inspire developers to use the HelloSign API. You’ll be the subject matter expert speaking in developer events, stream services, social media, podcast or any place where developers can be found. You’ll write engaging and interactive content that helps to share our message with the developer community and at the same time, you’ll advocate on behalf of our developers internally to help expand the functionality of the HelloSign platform to meet their needs.

This is a dynamic, cross-functional role with a high level of interaction with the developer community. Responsibilities

  • Share your expertise and passion by speaking at events, conducting training sessions, and authoring technical content for developers across our blogs, stream services, social media
  • Identify gaps, create and disseminate technical enablement materials for developers, including how-to guides, code samples, and training material
  • Be the voice of the developer internally during product discussions and evaluating priorities of bugs and feature requests
  • Develop and execute strategy to engage and grow our developer community across online forums – including Dropbox Forums, Stack Overflow, GitHub, and Twitter – as well as through in person meetups, trainings, and events

Requirements

  • Team player able to work under minimal supervision and a high sense of ownership
  • Able to think outside of the box not afraid of trying new things and wearing multiple hats
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience writing technical content and explaining technical concepts
  • Deep understanding and empathy for developers and customers, with genuine passion for enabling and advocating for developer success
  • Hands on experience building with at least one programming language and familiarity with Web technologies and APIs

In order to be successful in our Virtual First environment we needed to make changes that would allow employees to have more control over both where and how they work.
