About the department

Cloudflare’s Developer Relations team is embedded in the Marketing team to improve developer awareness and adoption of Cloudflare’s products and developer platform. We prioritize application development on Cloudflare’s developer platform beyond Cloudflare’s core services and product offerings. 

What you'll do

As the Global Startup Partnerships Manager, you’ll build relationships with the startup founders who are building on Cloudflare’s Developer Platform by reaching out to them, learning about what they’re building, and finding the best ways to help them succeed. To deepen our engagement with each accelerator program, you’ll find ways for us to interact with portfolio companies, whether that’s arranging office hours or arranging for others on the team to teach workshops. In this role, you’ll also have the freedom to develop new methods of engagement, to meet founders where they are, both digital and physical, in the medium they need. To grow the program, you’ll reach out to accelerator programs across the world and partner with them to offer their cohorts access to the Cloudflare Startup Partnership program. You’ll also manage the ongoing relationships between Cloudflare and these accelerator programs.

A typical week may include: meeting with startup founders to understand what they’re building, how we can help them accomplish their goals, gather feedback on our onboarding process, building relationships with accelerator programs and arrange opportunities for us to deepen our engagement, and collaborating with other teams to streamline and standardize our processes. A willingness to experiment and adjust plans is a must. Your goal is to find out how else we can help them succeed, and help them succeed.

Responsibilities include:

  • Build relationships with the startup founders who are building on Cloudflare Developer Platform by reaching out to them, learning about what they’re building, and finding the best ways to help them succeed.
  • Manage relationships with accelerator programs and find ways for Cloudflare to deepen our engagement with them, for instance, by arranging office hours or opportunities to teach workshops.
  • Grow the program by reaching out accelerator programs across the world and partner with them to offer startups in their program.
  • Work cross functionally with various internal teams, across time zones
  • Keep track of developer feedback and brainstorm new ideas for ways to better engage the startup community
  • Write copy for a startup developer audience that is relevant and engaging
  • Use metrics to track success of projects and regularly report on progress or areas of opportunity

Desirable skills, knowledge and experience include:

  • Experience working at a startup accelerator program or in seed stage venture
  • Experience as a startup founder
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to coordinate across multiple departments
  • Excellent verbal communication, public speaking skills
