Director of Engineering

EverlyWell provides direct-to-consumer home health tests with easy-to-read and actionable results. We are at the forefront of personalized health, transforming the $25B lab testing industry. We’re here to empower people to take control of their health by making lab testing easy to access, understand, and afford. 

We are looking for a Director of Engineering who will help our engineers make the biggest impact possible for the company, while reaching their professional development goals. 

We need a team player who will energize the team, consistently delivering projects on-time with quality, refocusing energy from their efforts (hiring, planning, etc) to figure out how to get obstacles out of the way to keep everything on track. 

Our engineering team take on any technology challenge and they create beautiful projects that consumers love. Working alongside our CTO, you will help us build one of the best engineering teams and cultures in Austin.

For the Director of Engineering we’re looking for…

• A desire to build the best experience for both our customers and our internal team
• Experience leading engineering organizations, ideally building consumer products
• Charismatic leadership, both to build and lead our team of talented and driven engineers
• Ability to identify and reduce complexity
• Ability to ensure the continuous improvement of engineering and product processes, such as continuous delivery and high quality automated testing
• Ability to communicate well across a range of audiences, from a small team to large enterprise customers.

Ruby on Rails, React, GitHub, PostgreSQL, RESTful APIs, Docker/Kubernetes

What’s next

• We’ll start with a 30 minute phone screen to make sure we’re a good fit
• You will work through an at-home coding project which will take about 3 hours
• You’ll meet and interview with the team, and talk through your project
• We’ll give feedback at each point in the process!
