Core responsibilities:

  • 75% of the time you will:
    • Create new product and service capabilities to meet emerging customer needs 
    • Optimize existing product and service capabilities to ensure quality, consistency, efficiency, and effectiveness
    • Provide subject matter expertise and advise and assist operations to product, engineering, and services
  • 25% of the time you will:
    • Lead challenging service engagements with complex technology stacks across multiple modalities
    • Interface with clients, establish technical competency, and deliver complex projects
    • Attracting and qualifying top 1% talent into the organization

Accountable for:

  • Individual research and development objectives and key results
  • Individual thought leadership objectives and key results
  • Individual utilization objectives and key result
  • Individual project net promoter score objectives and key results

Required qualifications:

  • 20+ years of cyber security experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Software dev and/or hardware design experience with an ability to cute code
  • Demonstrated expertise in core software & hardware security patterns
  • BS in computer science, engineering, physics, or mathematics

Desired qualifications:

  • Track record in vulnerability research and CVE assignments
  • Track record presenting at major and respectable conferences
  • Referenceable body of patentable innovation and/or published papers
  • Up-to-date knowledge base of current academic and security industry research
  • Background in reverse engineering, binary analysis, and vulnerability research
  • Background in operating systems, embedded systems, and distributed systems
  • Background in machine learning, predictive/descriptive statistical data analysis, and neural networks
  • MS or PhD in computer science, engineering, physics, or mathematics

If this position is wildly successful, in one year you will have:

  • Successfully delivered r&d milestones under rotational program
  • Published 80% of developed capabilities to move the industry forward
  • Achieved 25% or greater service engagement utilization
  • Achieved 90% or greater net promotor score

Targeted Base Salary:

  • Annual Base of 200K - 220K
  • To account for higher cost of living areas, we have modified our salaries for the following metropolitan areas:
    • Seattle: 232K - 255K
    • New York: 242K - 266K
    • Boston: 210K - 231K
    • San Francisco: 266K - 292K
