We're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a product engineering team.  You'll lead a team of engineers working across the stack.  You'll be responsible for enabling the team to build and ship high-impact product features that deliver on our mission to transform home care.

About the work:

  • Lead an engineering team to execute effectively on their roadmap
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to achieve great product outcomes
  • Sustainably deliver value with efficiency, predictability, and velocity
  • Balance trade-offs to meet business goals
  • Guide career development and manage the performance of engineers on the team,
  • Work with recruiting to source qualified engineering candidates, improve our interview process, and make great hires to continue scaling the team.
  • Drive cross-team initiatives to improve engineering at Honor

About you: 

  • Passion for managing talented engineers in a fast-paced environment
  • 7+ years of relevant engineering work experience, with 3+ years in managing productive engineering teams
  • Deep knowledge of software systems and ability to contribute meaningfully to architecture discussions
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • A bias towards action and an iterative approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience actively coaching and mentoring team members in their careers.
  • A high level of organization and the ability to prioritize tasks and keep projects on schedule.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience.

Honor is remote friendly! We're hiring across the U.S., with an entirely virtual interview and onboarding process. Moving forward, no roles will require permanent relocation, but as conditions allow, we'll have office space for in-person collaboration in our San Francisco Bay Area, CA and Austin, TX hubs. Location

We have offices for in-person collaboration in our San Francisco and Austin hubs, but all teams will function remotely and relocation is not required.
