StoryFit applies NLP & AI to narrative content (books & screenplays) to provide insights to the entertainment industry. We are continuing to build out our Story Research Platform, where a creative professional can upload their story, and understand how it fits into the current media landscape. 

Are you a strong front-end developer that would like to help change the way research is done in Hollywood? StoryFit is the world's leading platform for machine reading on books, movie and TV scripts. We're looking for an exceptional developer to design, implement and maintain our front-end React app, and build incredible new ways to visualize the data behind a story.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain new components for our React/Redux front end application
• Work closely with our backend engineers and data scientists to develop the optimal UX for our users, who are creative researchers at entertainment companies
• Provide ad hoc design support for our dashboard
• Design and build data visualizations using d3 and other front-end libraries

Qualifications

• Strong skills with React/Redux, especially d3
• Experience with building front-end user experiences that utilize data rendered via JSON API (you will not be responsible for the API)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with design, data, and backend teams
• Excitement about media & entertainment

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or a related quantitative discipline. 
• Those who have completed design, UX, or front-end bootcamps will also be considered.
• 1+ year of experience maintaining a front-end app.
