Job Description

We’re looking for a Frontend API Developer to join our Instructional Design team as we develop innovative and interactive ways to dynamically train our global user base through role-specific and scenario-driven hands-on labs. 

As a Frontend API Developer, you’ll own the development, testing, and maintenance of a series of web applications and scripts that serve as the backbone and core infrastructure for creating our digital customer training program. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and have a passion for technology and creative problem-solving. This position reports into Senior Director, Documentation and Certification and can be based remotely from a US location. We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you’ll do:

• Create and maintain a library of interactive, hands-on, product training labs

• Leverage Procore’s APIs to create scripts/apps that dynamically set up training projects for students with custom seed data

• Create and manage a library of automated regression QA tests for the product training labs using RPA technology

• Collaborate with Instructional Designers to build a library of walkthroughs, hands-on labs, using Toonimo

• Manage HTML/CSS templates and themes for customer-facing support/training websites

• Work alongside instructional designers, SMEs, and customer success teams to ensure training labs are user-friendly, up-to-date, and performing as expected

• Using web standards and best practices, write and implement clean, efficient, and thoroughly commented code for HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or related technical certification program. 

• 3+ years experience in front-end web development

• Experience using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs for web development

• Experience serving as the primary/lead developer for business-driven web development, preferably for SaaS-based companies/products

• General understanding of web services, including transport (primarily HTTP), common data formats (JSON and XML), and standard API patterns (e.g. REST)

• Experience in building for accessibility and responsiveness

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

• Ability to teach non-technical customers/other team members about APIs and integrations

• Experience using Digital Adoption Platforms (DAPs) such as Toonimo, Pendo, WalkMe, Whatfix, or Appcues

• Experience using RPA technologies for process automation such as UIPath, testRigor, etc.

• Knowledge and experience with modern libraries and frameworks (React preferred)

• Ability to effectively prioritize and escalate customer issues as required

• Ability to improvise, think creatively, and find solutions to challenging problems
