Bungalo is looking for a proven Full Stack Developer to help build the Bungalo website, backend, and mobile apps. You will work on creating new features for Bungalo and other internal applications that make Bungalo go. We are also building mobile apps using React Native. You will work with our design, product, marketing, and backend engineering teams to architect, implement, and ship high quality products.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Ship high-quality React, React Native, and node applications
  • Develop features from design through implementation and launch
  • Evaluate technical tradeoffs of every decision and work with design on the best UI and infrastructure practices
  • Improve our code quality with unit tests, automation, and code reviews
  • Work cross-functionally with other members of the Engineering Team
  • Help across all platforms, diving in where help is needed, with a holistic perspective across platforms

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • 5+ years of professional development experience
  • 2+ years experience shipping rich, consumer-facing websites using React, Angular, or similar framework
  • 2+ years experience shipping backend RESTful APIs using Node.js or similar platform
  • BS/BA degree in a technical field such as Computer Science (or equivalent years of experience)
  • A solid foundation of HTML, CSS, Javascript, HTTP, Restful APIs, and asynchronous web services
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with common software engineering tools and processes
  • Familiar with web (front-end and backend) performance best practices.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure a plus.
  • A proactive approach, flexibility, good communication, and fast learning.
  • UI Design Experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Android and iOS development is a plus.
