Full Stack Back End Engineer III

We are looking for a Full-Stack Back End Engineer with experience in cloud applications to join the team. (This is a direct-hire, full-time role.) If you're interested in working for a startup, want to make a difference in this, and want to be the lead technical person, we want to talk to you.
If you were working for us today, you would be:
- Working on the various elements of the platform and translating ideas into coherent software development roadmaps
- Making important decisions about the software stack and infrastructure
- Writing robust, maintainable, and future-proof code
- Managing consultants and eventually leading our software development team and delegating effectively
- Performing code reviews, leading software designing architecture discussions, and communicating technical information to non-technical teams
You may be a fit for our team if you have:
- Degree in Computer Science (or related) degree
- 5+ years of experience as a Full-Stack web developer in a startup or a mid-size company especially with exposure to big data and cloud applications
- A passion for startups and the tech culture
- A results-driven personality with strong leadership qualities
- A background in building distributed applications
- Willingness to learn new languages/technologies
- Experience working as a part of an engineering team on a production codebase
- Some understanding of functional programming concepts
- Working with applications, not just Spark jobs
- Ideally, experience with Scala, Akka HTTP, Typescript, Node Servers, GraphQL, OpenAPI, gRPC
- Bonus points for experience with Helm/K8s, Python, Rust, C/C+
