ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Full Stack Engineering Manager who can lead a team of highly professional engineers through the development of new, strategically important, next-generation banking applications. Some of the challenges you will face include but not limited to: growing the team, managing prioritization, maintaining high code quality and high execution standards within the team.

This is not a fully remote role. At BlueVine, we pride ourselves on our collaborative culture, which we believe is best maintained through in-person interactions and a vibrant office environment.  All of our offices will reopen in accordance with local guidelines, and will follow a hybrid model.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Work effectively with product management and designers to understand business needs.
  • Organize and drive the engineering team to consistently and predictably deliver high-impact products.
  • Provide hands-on leadership in architecture, design, planning of engineering projects.
  • Be a mentor and role model for, and support the growth of, engineers on the team.
  • Work with our Talent team to recruit top engineers.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

  • Strong business and technical sense.
  • Ability to motivate people and instill ownership, reliability, teamwork, and commitment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Hands-on. Working knowledge of Python with experience in Flask/Django or similar framework.
  • Experience with cloud-based and client-facing applications.
  • 2+ years experience building and managing engineering teams.
  • 5+ years hands-on experience building web and/or backend applications.

Nice To Haves

  • B.S. in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of front-end JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, or Vue).
  • Experience with AWS, cloud deployments, develops and web security.
