As a Head of Engineering, you will:

• Help lead Spreetail’s Technical vision as we enter the direct to consumer industry. 
• Ensure Spreetail, and our customers, are safe and secure from all threats at all times. 
• Design and build massively scalable systems capable of eclipsing 10,000+ requests per second. 
• Mentor a diverse set of experience levels and drive Spreetail as a top-notch technology destination. 
• Recruit and grow large engineering teams of various disciplines and focuses to innovate, invent, implement, and deploy complex technology solutions. 
• Partner with Product and Design Leadership to ensure we have the technical capabilities necessary to deliver the desired experience for our customers. 
• Manage technology financials for the direct to consumer segment. 
• Drive results by taking a quantitative approach to value creation and push through completion. 

You should have the following:

• 8+ years of experience building and leading teams of software engineers
• Firm grasp of cloud-based infrastructure and technologies. 
• Experience building, deploying, and rapidly scaling, distributed systems. 
• Firsthand knowledge designing high throughput APIs.
