Implementation Engineer - Digital Account Opening at Q2 (Austin, TX or Remote)

Q2 is seeking an Implementation Engineer - Digital Account Opening who will be responsible for implementing Q2’s Digital Sales Platform Solution in alignment with the business requirements of our customers.
As a market leader in digital sales, the Q2 Gro team is responsible for the ongoing innovation and expansion of the Q2 Gro digital account opening platform. Q2 Gro’s intuitive digital sales platform provides an optimized user experience for tasks such as account opening and loan underwriting. Our mobile-first, streamlined account opening capabilities are proven to reduce abandonment and shorten the application process to under four minutes, helping our Financial Institutions clients to expand their reach through acquisition growth across digital channels.
You will be a subject matter expert on a highly customizable product that runs on multiple platforms. Working on a project team with a Project Manager, you will be directly implementing portions of the platform for the customer in an implementation engineer function as well as providing technical training on aspects of the product that can be configured/engineered differently for each customer.
You will work closely with Product Management and Development teams to keep apprised of additions and changes to the broad set of options. The successful candidate must be technically savvy, exceptionally detail-oriented, and an energetic self-starter with excellent customer service skills who can work independently and in a group setting.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner with clients and internal teams to understand business requirements
Implement portions of the platform per client specifications
Train clients on business and technical configuration options
Work with a Project Manager to ensure on-time delivery of training sessions and materials per the established program timeline
Establish and follow quality assurance checkpoints within your FI team to ensure quality and timely delivery
Take ownership of your FI team’s business results by developing and leading training and execution plans
Monitor and impact key metrics and efficiencies
Problem-solve routine to complex issues
Establish a strong working and strategic relationships to socialize initiatives and get buy-in across functions
Provide Level 2 and 3 support to other team members
Create and implement tools that increase quality, security, and productivity
Track status and provide updates in relation to the overall implementation training program
Responsible for ensuring that all security, availability, confidentiality, and privacy policies and controls are adhered to
Work closely with Product Management, Development, and other teams to ensure client satisfaction and feedback are incorporated in go-forward planning
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
Bachelor’s Degree in CS, CIS, Engineering, or equivalent experience
2-5 years experience as an implementation engineer or similar technical role
Fintech or other financial services industry experience
Requires 2+ years regularly modifying or developing software with CSS, Javascript, HTML5, or JAVA
Requires configuration experience with JSON
Operation System, hardware configuration, and network troubleshooting skills required with packet analysis valued
Configuration and deployment experience with Web Services
Familiarity with data migration
VMware experience valuable
Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages
Familiarity with iOS and Android mobile platforms
Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic and analytical skills for problem-solving
Attention to detail, exceptional follow-through, the ability to prioritize, stay organized, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
