Job Description

As an iOS Engineer your focus and love for all things Apple will permeate the cross-functional team. You’ll leverage your extensive knowledge of building apps across the range of iOS devices to make our presence in the App Store a premier experience. You will join a small but mighty iOS team to build a native application for our celebrity Book Club product––your work will be in the hands of Stephen Curry, Malala, Richard Branson and Susan Orlean in addition to (soon to be) millions of users. 

Qualifications

YOU’RE GOOD AT:

  • Working closely with design and product to bring the vision to life
  • Building stunning, UX-centric UIs that follow Apple’s HIG
  • Adding motion and animation to accompany user interactions
  • Object-oriented design patterns
  • Debugging and performance testing

YOU WILL NEED:

  • A passion for design and award-winning User Experience
  • 3+ years of experience building native iOS Applications
  • 3+ years of experience with Swift
  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Track record of successful delivery in an agile environment

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WILL LOOK LIKE: 

  • Working with product managers you’ll gain a deep understanding of the user problems to be solved, you will brainstorm and collaborate on the best solution 
  • Working with design you’ll help guide what is possible while always pushing boundaries to deliver the best user experience 
  • Working with the API team to ensure that new features are supported efficiently, with a slight obsession with performance.
