FloSports (https://www.flosports.tv/) is a direct-to-consumer subscription-based sports media company that streams live events across 25 different sports (e.g. Cycling, Track and Field, Wrestling, Racing, Bowling, Marching Band, and more) to millions of athletes & fans around the world.

We are seeking an extraordinary Lead Android Engineer. We are building the future of Live Streaming & VOD OTT consumer experiences for millions of fans. This position will work on our Mobile team, dedicated to continuously improving the capabilities and performance of our mobile, web, and TV applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the technical direction of the Android application
• Collaborate with product, design, and other development teams to deliver an app that our customers will love 
• Ensure our Android App is stable and reliable in production.
• Provide mentorship to developers with a passion for learning Android Development

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

• 5+ years of relevant development experience (professional or education)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Strong experience with the Android platform
• Expertise in modern Android development (i.e., Kotlin, Dagger, Clean Architecture, MVVM, etc.)
• Experience building consumer Android Applications
• Experience leading team while remaining hands on with code
• Experience consuming RESTful web services
• Experience with unit and integration testing
• Familiarity with the Google Play Store's submission process and policies
• HLS streaming experience is a PLUS
• CI/CD and build automation experience is a PLUS
