The Lead Solutions Engineer will manage the Solutions Engineering Team and work in partnership with the Sales Team to identify creative opportunities for our high value brands. In this role, you will help manage the day-to-day activities of the team and guide them in creating the right solutions for our brands in order to ultimately achieve department goals. You will bring a proven ability to mentor and develop talent in order to elevate your team to the next level. 

What you'll do

• Become the expert in Bold products and solutions
• Represent Bold as a technical leader and advise both customers and partners on strategic sales opportunities
• Make key decisions in a fast-paced environment with outstanding organizational and communication skills
• Teach and mentor the Sales Team and other team members on custom functionalities of our products
• Coach and develop a team of talented Solutions Engineers, evaluate performance, and help with career planning
• Manage the day-to-day activities of your team, ensuring everyone has the right tools for success
• Analyze client requirements and documentation 
• Translate system architecture trends into product requirements
• Influence sales strategies and practices by building relationships with leaders across Bold
• Educate prospects on ecommerce recommendations and best practices
• Lead consultative solution audits for top prospects

What we're looking for

• 8+ years experience as a technical leader, consultant, or advisor in ecommerce
• Proven track record of successful projects from concept to implementation
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing a team and being responsible for coaching, mentoring, and performance management
• Knowledge of ecommerce platforms and ecosystem 
• Familiarity with web APIs, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS Ability to cultivate trust and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, collaborating often and holding team members accountable 
• Comfortable presenting to C-level business executives as well as having detailed, in-depth discussions with a technical audience 
• Strong documentation experience; using terminology for all levels of the organization, including technical specifications, formal statements of work, and gantt charts 
• Experience in visual modelling, including business and software flows 
• Experience in requirements elicitation and writing high-level requirements documentation 
• Ability to teach / educate clients on how to use our apps to showcase features and explain technical information to a non-technical audience
• Experience in responding to RFPs and writing proposals
• A work ethic that demonstrates dedication and commitment to Bold’s mission and belief in our BUILDERS Code
