SamCart is looking for a collaborative, conscientious, and experienced Manager of DevOps to join our team. In this role you will establish and ensure best practices across SamCart's cloud infrastructure in AWS, considering application performance and scalability, multi-region deployment, disaster recovery, and security. You will recruit and lead a team of Senior DevOps Engineers responsible for maintaining application uptime, 24x7 on-call rotation, infrastructure- as-code, and collaboration with our engineering teams to support new features with AWS services. Finally, you will join our elite team of high caliber engineers, product managers and designers to build a brand-new, world-class e-commerce engine to power the future of SamCart and revolutionize commerce on the Internet.
Responsibilities :
- Design, build and operate cloud - based infrastructure in AWS , focusing on infrastructure - as - code and CI/CD methodologies , supporting a multi - tenant web application leveraging a microservices architecture .
- Recruit and mentor a team to perform a full spectrum of DevOps capabilities, including system administration, configuration management, performance and security monitoring, disaster recovery , and 24x7 support .
- Ensure efficiency and predictability of deployments and upgrades .
- Manage relationships with AWS technical account managers, solution s architects, and consulting partners.
Qualifications :
- Expert in Amazon Web Services cloud architecture, leveraging advanced services (AWS Control Tower, AWS Landing Zone , etc. ) to build remarkably performant, exceptionally secure, highly available multi - r egion web applications .
- Mastery of advanced tooling (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Vault, Nomad , etc. )
- High proficiency with cloud - hosted continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, GitHub Actions, A WS CodePipeline, etc.)
- Fluency in Elixir and Golang, and scripting languages ( PHP, Type S cript , Python , etc.)
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with a consistent track record of mentoring and developing team members.
- At least 5 years of professional experience building and supporting cloud infrastructure in AWS .
