Manager, Software Development
As the Software Development Manager on the Commercial team, you will assist the Product Owners and Senior Dev Manager in the execution and delivery of the product roadmap. You will actively participate in agile team meetings and assist the developers in their delivery of user stories and resolution of bugs. Specifically:
- Provide guidance, oversight and leadership to Commercial team developers and quality assurance engineers
- Provide hands on technical guidance and reviews for developers
- Help hire and build high-performance teams that meet and exceed baseline expectations
- Develop and hold team accountable for quality assurance and check points to ensure quality and timely delivery
- Monitor and impact key metrics and efficiencies
- Develop a team that creates and adheres to Q2's best practices
- Provide guidance and mentorship to developers and the implementation team on the software development life cycle
- Transition the team to a consultative approach of custom development, more interactive with our customers with a goal of delivery of a solution
- Evaluate and introduce constant improvements to the custom development process
- Work closely with the Product Owners and Managers to execute on their vision
- Analyze project metrics and align initiatives with department direction
- Typically requires 3-6 years of previous work experience in a similar management role
- Familiarity and experience in development using JavaScript (Ember, Angular, REACT), HTML and CCS
- 1-2 years of project management experience and managing deadlines
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience
- Agile delivery experience required
- Strong team leadership qualities with proven experience growing and mentoring teams
- Excellent written/oral communication skills and ability to interface effectively with peer managers as well as senior management
- The ability to remain calm, diplomatic and cooperative under stressful conditions
- Attention to detail, exceptional follow-through, the ability to prioritize, stay organized, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with enterprise software deployment architecture and methodologies
- Experience building, growing, motivating and mentoring high-performance teams
- Articulate, thorough, and process-minded
- Experience within a multi-tiered environment
