Dealerware has an immediate, full-time opportunity for a Mobile Platform Architect to help us transform the way car dealers and manufacturers think about products and profits. We’re looking for an experienced Mobile Platform architect who still likes getting their hands in the code on a regular basis, who has experience with both iOS and Android application development, and who is excited by the idea of helping us expand and grow our mobile platform.
As a Mobile Architect you will:
● Help us evolve and scale our mobile platform to effectively power our iOS and Android teams and applications.
● Mentoring engineers on TDD and clean code best practices
● Lead development of mid and long-term technical roadmaps, including detailed migration strategies to evolve our mobile platform
● Guide the development of mobile testing strategy and documentation as you oversee the mobile platform development
● Maintain expertise in current and emerging mobile technologies and tools
● Establish and advocate adoption of engineering best practices, leading by example

Required qualifications:
● 3+ years experience leading both iOS and Android application development as a Principal Software Engineer or Architect
● 5+ years experience using Swift, OR
● 5+ years of experience using Java/Kotlin
● 2+ years experience building event-driven and reactive based mobile applications
● 2+ years experience using MVVM/MVP
● Expert understanding of Apple’s human interface guidelines (HIG) and Google’s Material Design guidelines
● Ability to multitask with and understand, coordinate, facilitate and guide a variety of disciplines such as software development, system integration and testing and operations
● Experience across the full application lifecycle from concept through retirement
Preferred qualifications:
● Experience with consuming RESTful and event streaming APIs (Kafka, Kinesis)
● Experience with CI/CD pipelines (CircleCI, Testflight, Jenkins, etc)
● Experience leading mobile engineers delivering enterprise mobile solutions
● Experience evaluating and implementing mobile test automation frameworks
● Experience with implementing observibility (application performance and monitoring)
● Familiarity with bluetooth, push notifications, NFC, digital wallets, location services, and other mobile hardware features
● Familiarity with Lean methodology and principles
