TTEC is seeking a Monitoring System Engineer to join our IT team based at our Northwest Austin office location. We're a global company that is 46,000+ employees strong. What you'll be doing: 

As a Monitoring System Engineer you will be a key member of the Technology and Innovation Group at Ttec.   You will help drive, deliver and support our premier solutions and service offerings around complex, enterprise-level hardware and software platforms. You will be primarily working on Ttec's expanding federal managed services Cisco platform.

You will be responsible for:

The staging and the operation of the our monitoring platform operations model within a cloud and customer premised hardware/software solution platform.  Your duties will include the following:

  • Customer deployment activities including direct customer interaction

  • Installation builds and customization of the monitoring stack servers and software

  • Documentation of the monitoring design for internal and external clients

  • Troubleshooting issues within the monitoring stack

  • Own software issues with the monitoring stack vendors and support management

  • Daily operations of entire monitoring environment.

  • Building event handling automations 

What skills and experience you will bring:

  • 2-3 years of demonstrated experience in Cisco technologies

  • Understanding of SNMP management of Network/Storage/System Administration, including; Experience with administration of a multi-server environments

  • Minimum 2-3 years supporting and administering network devices and systems including: routers, firewalls, switches, windows servers and virtualization technologies.

  • Experience with SNMP monitoring applications

  • Knowledge of common network services like DNS, Web Servers (IIS, Apache), FTP Servers, Email Servers, and Database Systems Administration

  • Detailed knowledge and demonstrated experience with Windows Server 2008/2012

  • Solid understanding of networking protocols VPN,TCP/IP, SMTP, FTP, HTTP, SNMP, Syslog, SSH etc.

  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems

  • Strong internal and external customer service skills and strong documentation skills

  • Ability to pass federal background checks such as Public Trust and others required by federal contracts.

Exceptional candidates will have one or many of the following skills: 

  • Em7, LayerX, ServiceNow, & process automation  experience

  • Cisco Unified Communications, Call Center, and networking technologies
