As a Network Engineer, you will help scale DISCO by orders of magnitude and extend the organisation’s presence globally while ensuring the security of the company’s intellectual property and user data. You will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing and administering local area networks and wide area networks.

In addition, the Network Engineer will participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links. This individual will also analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end-user training where required.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Collaborate with IT management and stakeholders to assess near and long-term capacity needs
  • Monitor network performance and proactively address issues
  • Ensure network availability and reliability. Always planning for redundancy
  • Design and deploy company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including servers, routers, hubs, switches, UPSs, VPN infrastructure and other hardware
  • Perform scheduled configuration changes to network switches, routers, firewalls and wireless devices
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and standards
  • Create and maintain documentation and operational run books
  • Participate in after-hours support as needed

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience
  • 4 years of experience implementing and/or supporting enterprise networks
  • Experience with network change-management control policies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with products from network vendors including Palo Alto, Cisco and Cisco Meraki
  • Experience implementing SASE and CASB solutions.
  • Have worked with Cloud-Based Unified Communications and Conferencing solutions

Even Better If

  • You have experience with a cloud-only environment
  • You have experience managing and maintaining networks in AWS
  • Knowledge of BeyondCorp or Zero Trust Network Architecture
  • Experience managing IAM solutions such as Okta, AzureAD or Google Identity
