This role will give you an opportunity to work with incredibly talented people across a wide variety of deeply technical disciplines including mixed-signal circuit design, firmware, compiler, validation, DevOps, and IT.


We are looking for a strong, hands-on technical manager who has breadth and depth in all aspects of performance optimization of complex, low-power, mixed-signal SoCs. The ideal manager is someone who wants to drive the post-silicon performance optimization planning and execution of Mythic’s next-generation products to deliver first-pass success for the company. Your experience and expertise will help Mythic design teams understand and plan for the challenges in our products, and you will be expected to push our products to meet performance and power requirements.

Here is what you will do:

  • Manage the Analog Compute Engine (ACE) Optimization team
  • Drive optimization planning and execution while focusing on methodology improvements
  • Partner with analog, digital, NVM circuit design, firmware, compiler, and validation teams to make our ICs and systems best-in-class in performance and power
  • Identify and hire candidates, and train the team to develop products on schedule and on budget
  • Investigate innovative approaches and execute the techniques on silicon and PCIe-based edge-AI systems
  • Mentor ACE Optimization team members
  • Interface with and provide routine updates to the Mythic leadership team on overall project plans and schedules

Here's the background we hope you have:

  • 5+ years of experience managing ASIC/SoC post-silicon optimization teams for mixed-signal products
  • Experience with post-silicon validation and characterization methodologies
  • Experience developing automation for large-scale data collection
  • Experience working with regression and revision control systems
  • History of successfully leading performance optimization efforts from planning to production stages

The following experience would be nice to have but is not required:

  • Experience working with Python, C/C++ and/or Ruby
  • Experience with data analysis tools and workflows
  • Knowledge of neural networks and AI/ML workloads
  • Experience working at startups
  • Experience working with high-growth and high-performance teams
