What are we looking for?

You will be involved in developing applications by studying operations; designing, developing, and installing software applications; and supporting and helping to develop the Engineering Team.

What you’ll do:

  • Consistently write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications
  • Write and code Unit Tests
  • Respond promptly to and solve defect tickets
  • Run and monitor functional and performance tests on new and existing software for the purpose of correcting mistakes, isolating areas of improvement, and general debugging
  • Investigate and resolve Customer issues
  • Build monitoring and have the ability to perform debugging in all areas of the code
  • Report operational achievements and progress to the Software Development Manager on a regular basis
  • Work effectively with other employees to collaborate toward a goal of providing user friendly applications
  • Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application development best practices
  • Participate in company activities such as planning and design meetings, retrospectives, and other required process activities
  • Direct research on emerging application development software products, languages, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts

What you bring to the table:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Software Development
    • 2-4 years of demonstrable PHP/LAMP
    • 1-2 years of React/JS experience (Angular or Ember experience also considered) 
  • Experience with SQL databases (preferably MySQL)
  • Experience with Web Applications utilizing REST and PHP
  • Experience in writing and maintaining high quality code, including authoring automated tests.
  • Understanding of UI/UX design standards and understanding of responsive web design
  • Knowledge of defect tracking software
  • Excellent technical and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and be achievement oriented
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with the Agile software development methodologies
