What is Spreetail

Spreetail is an ecommerce company that currently operates VMInnovations, a multi-marketplace retailer that sells thousands of awesome products through major marketplaces like Amazon, eBay, and Walmart. Spreetail is currently in the middle of building something big, new, and exciting due to launch in 2019 with a simple mission: to make customers’ lives better through exceptionally fast service, great products, and community impact.

Originally from Lincoln, Nebraska, Spreetail has recently expanded into two new offices based in Omaha, NE and Austin, TX with rapidly growing teams. We currently have hundreds of employees across the company, and are searching for crazy smart, talented, visionary people.

As a Principal Front End Developer, you will:

• Create delightful customer experiences (with the help of product managers, back-end engineers and designers) using: Modern JavaScript Web Development, High quality, tested code delivery, Integration with External Technologies
• Optimize delivery of front-end resources.
• Create reusable components and tools shared by the entire team (or maybe the world!)
• Collaborate with back-end developers to define interactions between server and browser.
• Pursue continuous improvements to code quality and execution

• 8+ years of software engineering experience
• 5+ years JavaScript Application Frameworks (React, Angular etc.)
• ES6+ JavaScript syntax
• JavaScript Build Tools (webpack, gulp) and UnitTesting
• npm
• CSS/Sass
• Version Control (Git)
• User-Story mapping
• Software Design (Architecture, Component-Level, Abstraction, Encapsulation)
• Concise Technical Writing
• Collaboration and translation of technical concepts for a non-technical audience.
• Agile Software Development
• Experience leading engineers to create robust solutions
• Experience creating or maintaining large or complex systems
• Strong understanding of design patterns and anti-patterns
• Can independently create robust solutions at a component level
• Previous Software Development Experience in a team setting
• Personal Development (Personal Projects, Side-Work, Blogging, Technical Books or Articles) preferred
