About the Department
Information Security at Cloudflare is a focused team committed to helping secure both Cloudflare and our customers. The Product Security team works closely with product designers and developers, ensuring that security is baked into every new system or service Cloudflare launches. Our mission is to help the company launch new services as quickly and as securely as possible.
What you'll do
We are looking for experienced Product Security Engineers to help us in our mission to build a better internet. Part engineer, part hacker, you will work in our product security team securing new products and services as they are built.
- Work alongside and product engineers and designers, providing security insight from design to inception to launch and beyond.
- Perform application security design reviews against new products and services.
- Perform code and design reviews of internal products and services.
- Track, prioritize, and evaluate risk of security issues.
- Build internal security tools that help fix security problems at scale
- Champion security in the engineering organization.
Examples of desirable skills, knowledge and experience
- Ability to investigate the impact of security problems.
- Strong knowledge of web application security issues.
- Ability to recognize application vulnerabilities and exploit them.
- Familiar with dynamic and static analysis techniques, fuzzing, and secure coding practices.
- Working knowledge of cryptography.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to be hands on and drive solutions to completion.
- Capable of writing production code, patches, and fixes for multiple codebases in at least one of GO, C/C++, Lua, PHP.
