FLASH is seeking a
Quality Assurance Specialist who will improve existing hardware quality standards, maintain the Quality Management System, communicate with and train manufacturing and installation stakeholders in quality practices. The right person will have a solid background in Quality Assurance terminology, methods, and tools and a drive for continuous improvement. Your work will bring the highest safety, quality, and efficiency while reducing overall cost of Mobility Hub products.
What you'll do:
- Perform routine inspections of finished products to check for defects and other problems before these products are shipped for distribution.
- Assess returned from site equipment, build cost to repair ticket, generate work order for repairs.
- Track, document, and report quality levels and perform analysis for quality improvement initiatives.
- Monitor risk-management procedures, and maintain and analyze problem logs to identify and report recurring issues to management and product development
- Coordinate investigation of quality issues with customers and suppliers.
What you have:
- Must have a Bachelor's in Science, Engineering, or related field or an Associates degree with 3+ years in a hardware QA role.
- 2+ years of hardware quality assurance or control experience
- 2+ years of the initiation, review, and maintenance of the Quality Management System, including the electronic Quality Management System (eQMS)
- Knowledge of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools
- Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of testing best practices, version control practices and defect management practice
- Familiar with ISO 9001:2015 implementation and maintenance
- Self-starter managing day to day tasks and working in collaboration to accomplish deadlines and objectives.
- Interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively in a team environment.
- Works cross-functionally to complete projects and testing.
- Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies.
- Exceptional skills in using computer software and hardware applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral, in communicating across the organization and outside of the organization
Preferred:
- Professional certification, such as Six Sigma, Quality Engineer, or Quality Auditor
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology and how QA functions within it.
- Experience with SaaS & HaaS modeling with a thorough understanding of related KPIs.
