Who is LeanDNA

LeanDNA is solving the $150 billion problem facing global manufacturers: Tied up working capital and on-time delivery challenges caused by excess inventory and critical shortages. Built from Lean manufacturing practices, we empower teams at the world’s top aerospace, industrial, automotive, and medical device manufacturers to make impactful inventory optimization decisions for the factory. The result? Real value for their organization, fast.

LeanDNA launched in 2014 with the goal of bridging the gap between complex supply chains and their outdated, labor-intensive methods for reporting, analytics, and lean project management. The goal hasn’t changed, and as our team grows, our commitment has grown with it.

QA Test Engineer

If you are an industrial or manufacturing engineer that is looking to move to the software realm or a QA Engineer with a passion for quality improvements, this is an exciting opportunity for you. LeanDNA is looking for a detail-oriented and self-motivated individual who understands lean manufacturing concepts and processes and can help us ensure that our solutions provide accurate and actionable insights to our users.

In this position, you will perform testing of new and existing functionality. You will work with the product and customer success teams to understand the customer requirements in detail. You will interact with the dev team to ensure the requirements are fulfilled and the solutions provide an excellent user experience.

This position offers a mixture of manual verification, test automation, and activities that help us improve the quality of our development processes. Our automation stack includes python-based frontend testing, creation of test scenarios using simulated data sets, python, frontend testing frameworks, and Java unit tests.

We offer excellent opportunities to prove yourself in an extremely fast-cycle deployment and a chance to get in early and grow alongside a high-trajectory team. We move fast and do really cool things. Join us and take a key role in building out our QA team.

What you will be doing:

  • Test new and existing features, ensuring that customer expectations are met

  • Communicate with the product team to fully understand the customer requirements

  • Report any defects in a detailed manner to the development team

  • Provide sign-off for the release of new features

  • Develop test cases for new and existing functionality

  • Contribute to sprint activities such as retrospectives and release readiness reviews

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering, CS, Math or Science

  • Detail-oriented approach to problem-solving

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Due to the nature of our business, we can only accept U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residency status

Nice to have:

  • Working experience with supply chain and ERP systems

  • Experience writing new automated test scenarios to expand coverage and reduce the need for manual testing over time

  • Software development lifecycle knowledge and experience with software testing tools and methodologies

  • Scripting abilities (python, bash) and experience with test automation

If you are an industrial or manufacturing engineer that is looking to move to the software realm, we’d love to speak with you.

We also have an open floor plan that encourages collaboration, plus couches and bean bag chairs. So you can find the right space at the right time without feeling like you're being micromanaged.

Cameron

What's the biggest problem your team is solving?

We’re helping manufacturers get their factories off of spreadsheets and into a purpose-built platform that provides them with daily actionable insights. It's fulfilling work knowing that we’re giving these teams hours back in their day to focus on more rewarding work.

Natalie

Enterprise Account Executive

What are some things you learned at the company?

I've learned so much about supply chain and the struggles and motivators of leaders and buying teams at companies we work with—the factories that build our cars, planes, and the machinery that powers our production systems. We're lucky to be able to help these professionals thrive in their careers and feel more fulfilled in their day-to-day work.

Lara

Campaign Manager

What does your typical day look like?

Productive, collaborative, and constantly moving! My day begins with a team huddle to decide priorities and goals for the day. I spend most of my time working with prospects, clients, and our internal team to solve problems when they arise, so there is never a dull moment. There's a lot of work to do and we have a great team working on it together!
