We are looking for QA Engineers with a creative edge, strong problem solving skills and an understanding of solid QA software testing concepts to join our team. In this role, you'll participate in the design, planning, execution, monitoring, and improving of testing procedures for the team. The successful candidate will author test plans that will exercise all facets of the system to ensure our applications are of the highest quality.  Lightspeed’s products span appliances, mobile apps, and networking, all the way up to cloud-based SaaS/web applications.

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience working on commercial software products
  • Self-motivated and passionate in building a world-class product
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate complex, technical concepts across the team
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced, agile environment
  • Excellent oral, written, collaborative and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for continuous process and technology improvement
  • Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
  • Hands-on experience with modern CI/CD with Jenkins
  • Create and execute test plans including end-to-end test scenarios written in Gherkin syntax
  • Testing REST APIs using tools such as Postman and JMeter
  • Github or similar experience with a source code control system
  • Ability to work with developers and document identified software defects

Beneficial Knowledge & Skills:

  • Knowledge of AWS services, Redis, Ruby, node.js, Postgres
  • Experience using cloud based infrastructure
  • Use of a bug tracking system such as Jira
  • Experience with Selenium using Ruby and Cucumber
  • Chrome Extension, MacOS, iOS, Windows application testing and debugging
  • Knowledge of Proxy services with SSL decryption is a plus

Your Experience & Education:

  • BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Five (5) to Seven (7)  years’ work experience with commercial software development projects
