Quality Engineer
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create and maintain comprehensive test plans based on use cases and customer requirements
Create and maintain suites of automated test scripts across multiple products using Selenium and Python
Execute and contribute to manual tests efforts as needed
Document defects with details and diagnostic information
Work closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other testers to deliver quality solutions to our customers
Participate in and contribute to Sprint/Release planning sessions
Be passionate about driving software quality
Accurately track and report time against multiple projects
Utilize your expertise and knowledge to help drive QA best practices and process improvements
Train and mentor peers
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
5-7 years of professional quality assurance and automation testing experience
Strong experience testing web-based software solutions (both front end and back end services)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teaming skills especially with highly technical team members
Strong test plan organization and test execution planning skills across multiple projects
Passionate about the work, proactive work ethic, and a highly motivated attitude to provide excellence in software quality
Proven test automation experience using Selenium with Python
Experience with Agile Scrum/Kanban
Experience working in small, highly efficient teams with a high degree of collaboration prowess
Experience with version control systems such as Git
Experience with defect tracking systems; JIRA, QTest considered a plus
Experience with API and web service testing
Experience with SQL
