  • The Salesforce Architect reports to the Manager of Salesforce Application Development, as an essential member of the IT Applications team. As a Salesforce Architect, you will be interacting with various parts of the business to understand current and future processes needed within Salesforce. You will need to combine an extensive knowledge of our current Salesforce org, along with your experience implementing Salesforce best practices, to improve the health of our environment – both now and as SailPoint continues to grow. In addition to being responsible for developing high performing solutions on the Salesforce platform, the Salesforce Architect will provide insights in advanced business analysis, lead new integrations efforts, configure apps as required, ensure proper user security, and assist with change and release management.

     

    Job Responsibilities

     

    • Provide technical leadership, implementing best practices for integration and application development, deployment, testing, iterative refinement, and coding standards
    • Maintain architectural roadmap and provide recommendations on architectural decisions, evaluating the capabilities and tradeoffs
    • Drive conversations with the business and ensure they are following best practices for enterprise architecture functions such as security, performance, development process, and application governance
    • Lead technical debt cleanup activities to maintain the overall health and operation of Salesforce
    • Work with members of the IT team to analyze business requirements, translating those requirements into customized solutions using the Salesforce platform
    • Work with project leadership, assist in the estimation of work effort, determination of required resources, and set a realistic schedule for development
    • Prioritize projects and tickets driven by the business and confirm all architectural changes and system integrations are properly planned and aligned with our roadmap

     

    Required Skills

     

    • B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience
    • Salesforce Certifications: Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I, CPQ Specialist
    • A minimum of 4 years of experience in technology implementation for full lifecycle enterprise software projects
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience developing Salesforce customizations (Apex/Aura/VF), integrations, data migrations
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience leading projects, technical project teams, and performing code reviews
    • Experience building custom integrations with the Salesforce APIs
    • Understanding of key design patterns and large data volume limitations and best practices
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
    • Skilled at analyzing and mapping complex business processes, while identifying opportunities for business process re-engineering
    • Knowledge of coding principles and experience leveraging deployment tools to deliver solutions in an agile methodology
    • A particular desire to continually study new technologies and functionality, as well as be involved in projects that push the capabilities of existing technologies
    • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and be creative within a team

     

    Preferred Skills

     

    • Salesforce CPQ implementation experience
    • Salesforce Lightning implementation experience
    • Experience with Salesforce change management under SOX control
