Amherst uses Salesforce as a core piece of technology to manage several aspects of the business. This includes Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Field Service Lightning and more in the future. We are invested in Salesforce and need help building out the platform and team. We are looking for a Salesforce Architect to build and support our Salesforce Organization.

What You'll Do:
Technical and administrative ownership of the Salesforce ecosystem
Lead and coach the Amherst Salesforce team
Collaborate with Software Development teams to help build integrations with Salesforce
Maintain architectural roadmap and provide recommendations on architectural decisions, evaluating the capabilities and tradeoffs
Drive conversations with the business and ensure they are following best practices for enterprise architecture functions such as security, performance, development process, and application governance
Lead technical debt cleanup activities to maintain the overall health and operation of Salesforce
Work with project leadership, assist in the estimation of work effort, determination of required resources, and set a realistic schedule for development
Prioritize projects and tickets driven by the business and confirm all architectural changes and system integrations are properly planned and aligned with the roadmap
Help build Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to identify and prioritize operational improvements, enhancements, and system customizations to address their evolving needs
Evaluate technical tradeoffs of every decision and work with design on the best UI and infrastructure practices.
What You'll Bring:
B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience
Salesforce Certifications: Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer I
A minimum of 6 years of experience in technology with a focus on Salesforce
A minimum of 2 years of experience developing Salesforce customizations (Apex/Aura/LWC/VF) and integrations
A minimum of 2 years of experience leading Salesforce Administrators and Salesforce Developers
Strong knowledge of Salesforce Development, Administration and Software Engineering best practices
Experience building custom integrations with the Salesforce APIs
Understanding of key design patterns and best practices
