SDK Software Engineer
Q2 is seeking an innovative and passionate Software Engineer to help build an industry-changing FinTech developer toolset and community. Founded here in Austin, TX, we are a growing company with the charter of enabling community banks and credit unions with a highly compelling, unified online and mobile financial services from within a single application. This team member will assist a new team working to deliver a new AppStore experience to our customers. This person will work with the Marketplace teams to integrate the Marketplace framework into the Q2 platform, and provide the necessary features to allow our customers to quickly integrate with Fintech providers through our marketplace.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with technical stakeholders and the SDK team to define business requirements, Marketplace capabilities and best practices
- Build maintainable APIs and services in Python and Javascript
- Research technologies, standards and services and integrate them into our developer ecosystem
- Mentor and educate developers to promote maintainable patterns and ensure successful integration with the Q2 platform
- Responsible for ensuring that all security, availability, confidentiality and privacy policies and controls are adhered to
- Support the rapidly changing needs of Marketplace’s fintech customers and financial institution customers through technology services
- Continuously evaluate web standards to ensure the Marketplace interface stays current
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
- 8+ years of software development experience
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- JavaScript application development in a current generation SPA Framework (React, Vue, Angular, etc) preferred
- Strong understanding of complex, enterprise architecture
- Passion for applying good design principals while exercising pragmatism to keep deadlines
- Fluidity on the Linux command line and basic system administration
- Experience working in Git along with typical JavaScript & Python build tools
- Experience integrating disparate systems to work cleanly together
- Experience working on enterprise level applications with many integrations and thousands-millions of end users
PREFERRED:
- Previous experience building tools for other developers
- Experience building server side APIs and interacting with a DB using SQL
- Experience hosting in AWS
- Experience building and managing Docker containers at scale
