Come help us build a state of the art infrastructure in a rapid deployment fail­-fast environment. We use DevOps practices, Infrastructure as Code, and computer security in order to build a bullet-­proof modern cloud infrastructure that others depend on. We also design and build rugged systems to improve availability and performance and ensure that new code rolls out the door safely with minimal effort and maximum impact.

Who You Are

  • You have a high degree of personal integrity and reliability, consistently delivering results with a professional attitude
  • You have at least 3+ years hands-­on experience administering a 24/7 infrastructure, experience designing, implementing and supporting security architectures, and a solid grasp of security concepts, principles and practices
  • You're proficient in Python, Bash and OO software development as well as experience with network security, protocols, and routing
  • You have experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, CloudFormation, Auto Scaling, etc.) as well as familiarity with configuration management, Chef, Puppet, CFengine or similar CM solutions
  • You are familiar with build and release automation and dependency management
  • You bring a deep understanding of Networking, DNS, and how the Internet works in general
  • You're comfortable with deploying centralized monitoring solutions
  • You have extensive use of Tripwire, Samhain, Snort, Suricata, OSSEC, Nessus, Nexpose, and other tools in a production environment
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, EE or MIS; or equivalent experience (any certifications (e.g., RHCE, CISSP, CISM, CISA) are a plus)

What You'll Do

  • Assess security on existing infrastructures to identify, communicate, prioritize and reduce risk
  • Handling security events by correlating threat intelligence with security systems and controls
  • Reduce time-­to-­detect and time­-to-­remediate by driving the automation of security event management, vulnerability assessment and intelligence correlation
  • Provide domain expertise regarding external security events which may impact applications, networks and user environments
  • Maintain and iterate security intelligence strategy to improve threat detection and response
  • Build collaborative relationships with IT, Engineering Operations, Engineering and business units to ensure security is a first-class concern in product design and engineering
  • Strive to make security a value proposition for our users and support customer security requirements and objectives throughout the product portfolio
  • Define security policies across multiple environments, according to business risk and security threat assessments
  • Provide tactical security guidance for key engineering projects while driving the incorporation of new security products into existing systems while adhering to our larger strategic direction
  • Quickly triage problems, identify root cause, and drive issues to completion
