Security Engineer
How You’ll Support Our Mission
You will have a primary focus on driving mission critical upgrades to our Enterprise Network Environment. You will work with technical resources in our IT & Security teams and foster relationships with other teams including Legal, Customer Support and Implementation and Software Engineering.
Reporting to the Director of IT you will be part of our IT team based in our Austin, Texas office.
What You'll Be Doing - the day to day
- Driving on-time performance across a variety of Security related projects and initiatives, including: Vulnerability Management, Perimeter Security (firewall), WAF, IDS/IPS, SIEM/SOAR implementations, integration with Azure/Azure Active Directory.
- Identifying and managing technical interdependencies and roadblocks.
- Preparing periodic reporting and read outs on current Security Posture, Risks and Exposure.
- Coordination and Mitigation of Vulnerability findings across the Enterprise.
- Working with internal and external development resources to drive overall security improvements and implementation of defined security architecture.

Who You Are - some of the essential things required to be successful in the role
- Minimum of 5 years IT and Cyber-security experience
- Strong investigation and analytical skills to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and make sound recommendations.
- Ability to work effectively across major Cloud Platforms
Who You Are - it's desirable if you have any of the following
- Security Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH
- Vendor familiarity preferably: Palo Alto Networks, Aruba, Splunk, VMWare, AWS, Azure, Tenable, F5, Barracuda.
