We’re looking for a talented Lead Application Developer to join Unity’s Security team. This is an opportunity to become one of the leading members that will drive product security not only in Unity, but potentially across the gaming industry. This team will accelerate our Application Security team’s ability to scale secure coding practices across the company by integration with internal and 3rd security products. We’re looking for a manager who is entrepreneurial, adaptable and enjoys challenging the status quo and wants to make an impact in the gaming industry.

What you'll be doing

  • Reinforce people management focus
  • Collaborate in a small team to design, develop and deploy high quality applications.
  • Create and nurture a positive and productive team.
  • Estimate tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Work closely with the other developers, designers, artists, producers, program managers and QA to develop and polish features.
  • Use collaboration tools such as Git, GDrive, Confluence, and JIRA.

What we're looking for

  • Strong communication skills, both in person and via digital means with the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to find creative solutions to difficult problems while adhering to mature software development practices such as code reviews, readable code, building testable code with unit and integration tests, git flow, using CI/CD.
  • Knowledge of common code architectural patterns and anti-patterns.
  • Professional development in front-end and back-end frameworks using tools such as, Python, NodeJS, Ruby, React, Angular, FastAPI, Postgres and Mongo.

You might also have

  • Experience developing security software and integrating with security automation software like Snyk and Sonarqube.
  • Experience integrating web services and APIs.
  • Experience in working with application security teams in medium to large sized companies.
