ClearDATA is looking for a hands-on leader to ensure our current hosted offerings are implemented with the highest security standards capable. This position will be responsible for managing the security engineering team, including supporting and maintaining a range of information security products that monitors and provides compliancy across all customer and internal systems. The successful candidate will work with the other operational managers to coordinate and implement the privacy and security controls detailed in ClearDATA’s policies and procedures. This position will report to the Director, Operational Excellence, and will work jointly with other managers on the team. He/she will manage customer meetings with regards to security services and how it fits into the overall solution for customers.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Lead a team of talented, security engineers
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for all ClearDATA Security services, reference architectures, security and compliance tools, and services
  • Analyze/monitor/maintain ClearDATA customer and internal Security systems
  • Serve as trusted advisor to customers and the ClearDATA sales team, and other teams as required
  • Act as a technical point of contact for escalations and troubleshooting of security and privacy issues
  • Lead and teach others to lead security incident response
  • Assist in development and interpretation of security policies and procedures to meet all ClearDATA compliance requirements
  • Help to enforce change management procedures and other security policies and procedures
  • Participate in security audits, risk analysis, and security reviews
  • Assist in the collection, storage, and security of artifacts and evidence to support audits and assessments
  • Proactively identify security issues and risks and develop remediation and mitigation plans
  • Manage vulnerability scans and penetration tests for ClearDATA systems, as well as assist customers with their testing activities
  • Work with a diverse team of engineers to work through complex issues and tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Be responsible for patching ClearDATA’s Windows and Linux environments
  • Be an action-oriented advocate for compliance with the HITRUST Common Security Framework in relation to ClearDATA’s controls

 

What You’ll Need

  • 5-7 years as a Security Engineer or Architect with 1-2 years of management experience
  • Experience with Enterprise level Vulnerability/Pen-Test solutions (Rapid7, Nessus)
  • Experience with Enterprise level SIEM solutions (TrendMicro, Alert Logic, Logrithm, Splunk)
  • Experience with HITRUST, SOC 2, HIPAA
  • Exposure to Firewall administration (Access Lists, NATs)
  • Exposure to IDS/IPS (administration, signature creation)
  • Exposure to packet analysis tools (TCPDump, Wireshark)
  • Familiar with ITIL principles for Incident Management
  • Project participation – Agile project methodology experience a plus
  • Must possess strong customer service attitude and interpersonal skills.
  • Impeccable attention to detail, passion for processes and systems
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to execute multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proven ability to solve problems using tools and/or processes.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, organization, and self-motivation.

 

What will make you stand out

  • CISSP Certification preferred
  • Experience building out a security remediation roadmap
  • Experience managing a risk register
  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • Experience working public cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, GCP, as well as VMWare-based cloud environments

We are located in the center of downtown Austin, corner of 6th & Congress. Our funky office space is in the Scarbrough Building, built in 1909.
