Senior Analyst, Business Analytics
We are looking for a Senior Analyst to join our small but rapidly growing Business Analytics team. Data is at the center of everything Favor does, and the appetite for reporting and analysis grows each day as we expand our geographic footprint throughout Texas and introduce new platforms, products and features to our community of users, runners and merchant partners.
In this role, you will leverage first- and third-party data to generate insights about our customers, runners, merchant partners, and product, and serve as the key data liaison between the Business Analytics team and core functional teams.
Responsibilities include –
- Defining KPIs to ensure we are focusing on metrics that drive the business forward and measure the impact of specific product features and operational initiatives.
- Leading cross-functional efforts to use our customer and runner data to inform growth and retention strategies, as well as calibrate supply and demand needs across 50+ Texas markets.
- Analyzing market data to determine short- and long-term strategies for improving customer experience while closely monitoring impact on unit economics and promotional risk & return.
- Partnering with leaders from the operations, sales, marketing, and finance teams to develop reports to monitor business trends.
- Defining and implementing best-practices for data modeling and governance at scale, to produce timely, consistent and accurate insights for multi-faceted analyses.
- Advising on client- and server-side analytics implementation to ensure robust tracking for reporting and analysis purposes.
- Exploring and recommending new technologies or methods to improve our team’s efficiency and effectiveness.
- Growing the collective knowledgebase through process documentation and technical mentorship.

Requirements –
- 2-4 years experience working in an analytical role.
- Advanced SQL skills, with large datasets.
- Excel ninja.
- 2+ years experience with business intelligence software, such as Tableau, Domo, or Looker. Working knowledge of Python, R, SAS a plus.
- 2+ years experience with third-party data services, platforms and providers (such as Google Analytics, Firebase, Adjust)
- Familiarity with statistical concepts and A/B test design.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, in particular in a presentation setting.
This role reports in to the Director of Business Analytics.
