Dealerware is currently 100% remote work (during COVID) and then moving to a Hybrid model that we anticipate to be early 2022.
Dealerware has an immediate, full-time opportunity for a Senior Android Developer to help us scale our mobile platform. We’re looking for someone that has professional experience with Android development, comfortable working with cloud platforms, knows the ins and outs of the frameworks and libraries they currently use and wants to master new frameworks.
As a Senior Android Developer, you will:
● Be a technical steward within your team and across the Product Engineering organization.
● Be a valued member of an autonomous, cross-functional agile team to iterate and deliver on new product increments.
● Design, develop, and deploy Android, and back-end applications.
● Contribute in test-driven development and other mobile best practices.
● Participate in our culture of learning
● Coach and mentor team members on software engineering activities
● Collaborate with your team and and our internal guilds to continuously improve our CI/CD pipeline and infrastructure
● Contribute to solving the company's toughest technical challenges

Required qualifications:
● 5+ years work experience in a professional environment with Android development
● 5+ years work experience with other programming languages and tools (i.e. Node, React, Go, Java, C#, Kubernetes,Terraform, etc.)
● 3+ years of native mobile experience with Kotlin
● 3+ years of work experience developing high-performing, scalable and available mobile application/web services
● Familiarity with RESTful API integration
● Understanding of Google’s Material Design guidelines
● Experience being a full-stack mobile developer (Android + backend language)
● Extensive experience working in a product-driven environment
● Deep understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms
Preferred Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience
● Corporate experience with both Android Development
● Development experience with Java
● Development experience with Kotlin
