Dealerware has an immediate, full-time opportunity for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to help us transform the way car dealers and manufacturers think about products and profits. We’re looking for someone that has experience with event driven architecture, comfortable working with cloud platforms, knows the ins and outs of the frameworks and libraries they currently use and wants to master new frameworks.
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will:
● Be a key member of across-functional agile scrum team
● Create and maintain highly scalable services leveraging modern cloud platforms
● Assist in our transformation from monolithic back-end to a service oriented architecture
● Coach and mentor team members on engineering activities and best practices
● Have opportunities to practice T shaped skills by jumping into other areas of the technology stack at Dealerware

● Have expert knowledge of domain-driven design, test-driven development, S.O.L.I.D. principles, and other modern development paradigms
● Possess excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and are comfortable working with multiple stakeholders to understand and explain highly technical information in a clear, concise manner

Required qualifications:
● 4+ years of professional work experience with Ruby on Rails
● Extensive experience in developing high-performing, scalable and resilient web services, and applications
● Expert understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms
● Knowledge in using advanced SQL/MySQL queries
