Role Description: 

CSC Generation Engineering needs the best DevOps Engineers to support our team’s mission of improving the tech stack of our portfolio companies. We manage existing websites, while building cross product components upgrading legacy infrastructure to use the latest and greatest. Scalability and automation are key components as we continue to grow our portfolio. 

We work in cross-functional teams; developers, QA and DevOps specialists, as well as the Product team. The team strives to improve and develop portfolio websites and shared components that make them faster and more successful. We are collaborative with an emphasis on iteration and learning. We want someone who is excited to work with various tech in a fast-paced culture, wants to make an immediate impact, and is ready to rise to the challenge of a growing organization. We are open to candidates who want to work remotely 100% of the time. If you prefer to work in an office, we have locations in Austin, TX, Gardena, CA, Chicago, IL, and New York, NY. 

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will collaborate with us to: 

• Build and extend with some of the tool chains we work with such as AWS (ie: Lambda, ElastiCache, CloudFront, CodePipeline, SSM), ansible, and shell scripts 
• Further enhance our release pipelines, monitoring, alerting and automated system recovery 
• Migrate off and replace legacy infrastructure 
• Work closely with and consult with our development teams 
• Mentor other members of the engineering team in performance, scalability, and engineering best practices 

We are excited to have you join our team because you: 

• Have 3+ years of relevant work experience in a DevOps environment 
• Are proficient with AWS or other cloud-hosted services 
• Bring experience working with microservice based architectures 
• Bring experience working with CI/CD as well as monitoring and alerting tools 
• Have experience with our tech stack: AWS, ansible, and shell scripts 
• Believe in finding the best solution, not just one that works 
• Have attained an AWS Certification, or would like to be sponsored to take an exam for one
