ClearDATA is seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join our rapidly growing company. This is an excellent opportunity for you to leverage your technical, sales and customer facing expertise and gain new skills in the world of hosted and managed services while being part of the Health Care revolution to the Cloud.

We are an Agile shop adhering to Scrum methodology and operating with full DevOps methods of systems design and operations. We are pushing all of our systems to full CI/CD and API driven implementations. You should thrive on managing your code through the systems administration, orchestration and automation platforms because here, we don’t just code software, we deliver a set of live services to our customers.

We’re a close team of talented engineers, developers, operations, and management, so expect to be involved in many of the design decisions, schedule discussions and ideation around our next generation of products. This role is heavily customer focused, you will be expected to present & pitch to customers as well as executive teams. In this role you will play an intrigal role in building a solution platform using one of the following cloud platforms AWS, Azure and Google Cloud. Candidates should have expeirnece working in at least two of the three cloud platforms. While this position is headquartered in our downtown Austin office, you will be expected to travel 30% of the time for this role. You will be traveling to customer sites as needed, but no more than once or twice a quarter.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design cloud solutions for massive scale, resiliency, maintainability, and compliance
  • Evaluate client infrastructure and applications for cloud readiness
  • Re-architect and re-engineer stateful applications to be optimized for cloud environments
  • CI/CD and configuration management design and implementation
  • Understand the drivers for customer cloud adoption and design systems to meet those needs
  • Analyze generally available applications including open source
  • Drive solutions to meet security/compliance adherence
  • Customer facing
  • Presenting/Pitching Customers & Executive Teams
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

What You Need:

  • Hands on experience in 2 of the 3 public cloud platforms (AWS, GCE, and Azure)
  • Pre-sales (customer-facing) experience architecting cloud infrastructure and designing cloud-native application solutions
  • Experience optimizing applications for usage in a public cloud environment
  • Experience planning and executing infrastructure and application migrations to the cloud
  • Experience architecting, configuring and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with cloud orchestration tooling
  • Ability to collaborate with product, support, and sales teams to build solutions that meet customer needs
  • 3 years minimum as a DevOps Engineer or Software Engineer
  • Experience in implementing full lifecycle (design, test, implement, document, API) development and release management using modern collaboration tools
  • Experience writing code in Python, Golang, or node.js
  • Experience in Windows and/or Linux operating systems
  • Demonstrated flexibility while showing a high degree of organization

What Will Make You Stand Out:

  • Certification in one of the following: Azure MCSA Certification, GCP Professional Cloud Architect Certification, AWS DevOps
  • Experience working with containerization technology, preferably Kubernetes
  • Experience creating GitLab deployment pipelines
  • Experience working in a test-driven environment
  • Experience working in Information Security and/or Compliance Industry

We are located in the center of downtown Austin, corner of 6th & Congress. Our funky office space is in the Scarbrough Building, built in 1909.
