About the role:

Are you a champion for security and trusted identity? Do you possess a high level of empathy for customers that want a simple, easy to use login and account management process? Do you want to work on large scale mission-critical systems? The Engineering Manager for Profile and Authentication will lead the efforts for building out the identity management and user preferences functions for Evernote's users, ensures the login and authentication process is both frictionless and sound. 

You will work closely with our best engineers and a customer-centric cross-functional team to apply industry standards in identity and authentication, a robust profile management capability and personalize the user experience to each customer's needs.

What you’ll do:

• Build and develop a strong engineering team focused on delivering results and operational excellence
• Lead end to end execution of projects and deliver quantifiable results in a timely manner
• Collaborate with Product & Marketing counterparts to define your team’s vision and roadmap
• Lead and participate in engineering wide initiatives as a member of the engineering leadership team

What you’ve done:

• 7+ years of software development experience
• 3+ years of people management experience
• Proven track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment
• Led teams to migrate large scale monolithic architecture into a distributed microservices architecture
• Successfully introduced DevOps culture to a team and consistently raised the bar for operational excellence
• Experience managing a distributed team is a plus
• Experience with security & authentication domain is nice to have
