Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Senior Front-End Engineer to join our growing Symplur product team. As a Senior Front-End Engineer, you’ll build UI/UX features and components for our customer facing application as well as work to maximize performance and stability for the end-user. You will be part of the Symplur product team that is using social media and real-world data to surface the voices in healthcare that needs to be heard. Our product is valued for its hyperfocus and simplicity and is today used by patient advocacy organizations, government offices, medical societies, pharma, academia and hospitals.
**This role will ideally work from Los Angeles / West Coast.
Responsibilities
Build UI/UX features and components for our customer facing application.
Optimize components and write unit tests for maximum performance and stability for the end-user and across devices and browsers.
Be a part of a cross-functional, full stack development team.
Be a top-notch coder on the team, capable of deep diving into implementation details of components and features of the technology stacks.
Participate in code reviews, design reviews, help establishing team’s best practices, and align to technical vision.
Jump in and help to solve the complex technical problems and design issues, initiate refactoring where it makes sense.
Be curious, always learning, stay on top and help adoption of new frameworks and technology capabilities where it makes sense.
Work with product management to understand requirements, recommend best implementation approaches to maximize the use of technology and capabilities.
Work closely with designers and user experience experts to understand desired user experience and implement while still aligned with the company vision and technological direction.
Partner with quality assurance engineers and collaborate daily to make sure the code produced is of a high quality, bug free and delivers the best user value possible to achieve in a timeframe.
Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of experience designing and developing front-end applications with React (Vue, Angular, or similar front-end framework),
JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Node.
Experience with modern web technologies, techniques, browser/device support, responsiveness, etc.
Experience using Git.
Experience building applications using RESTful APIs.
Experience building data visualization with D3js, Highcharts, or other data viz libraries.
Experience with Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, or other testing frameworks.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Track record of delivering clean UI/UX, stable, and performant code to production.
