Atlassian is looking for an experienced and talented Senior Full Stack Software Engineer that has a strong Front End focus to join the Product Growth Team. The team works closely with product, platform, and data science teams. Its mission is to take on the biggest opportunities for Atlassian to accelerate its growth, bringing us closer to our company-wide mission to scale to 100 million MAU.
You will work in an autonomous, empowered, and creative position; it's your chance to show ambitious moves, be curious and seek the "why" and "why not". You are able to dive into both qualitative and quantitative data, build up a deep understanding of customers, and stay nimble as the team charts a course towards success. You're comfortable driving feature delivery end to end and pivoting the strategy and being creative with decisions based on product and design sense seeking maximum impact. You want to validate ideas quickly and be proactive to make the right things happen. The team works across a broad range of technical stacks and operates with a philosophy of build, measure, and learn.
On your first day, we'll expect you to have:
- 5+ years of industry experience working as a software engineer
- Specialization in Javascript (ES6), HTML5, CSS Experience with modern Javascript frameworks (e.g., React, AngularJS, Vue)
- Familiarity with server-side software development in software design, object-oriented programming. (preferred experience with Java, NodeJs)
- Experience with modern testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress, Mocha, Chai)
- Familiarity with A/B testing
- Good understanding of front-end architecture and data-driven development
- Experience building and integrating REST APIs, GraphQL
- Experience with SQL and basic data and numerical analysis
- Ability to work with designers to develop dynamic user experiences
- Willingness to learn and be able to support the full engineering stack on a complex system
- Effectively mentor junior team members to help them unleash their full potential
It's great, but not required if you have:
- Experience with growth experimentation techniques and implementation
- Experience with large scale distributed systems
- Understanding of basic statistical concepts like Confidence Intervals and statistical tests for experiments & trials
