As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building robust, high-quality, and scalable solutions to expand and improve b.well’s core platform. You’ll work first hand with business and product to take specs from concept to reality all while helping to mentor and grow your team. You’ll be expected to take ownership, juggle a wide array of roles and responsibilities, and help grow our Austin technical presence.

 

What You'll Do: 

  • Design, implementation, and maintenance of b.well’s products using AngularJS, React, and other modern technologies

  • Design, implementation, and maintenance of b.well’s products using Python, Django, AngularJS, GraphQL, NodeJS, and other modern technologies

  • Design, creation, implementation, and maintenance of b.well’s mobile products for iOS, Android, React Native

  • Help mentor other developers to improve their career development and coding abilities 

  • Work closely with other engineers, designers, and management teams to rapidly build, iterate, test, and deploy new features and products and main a high-quality robust code base 

  • Improve and scale the existing products and tools 

  • Launch new projects from ideation to completion 

  • Monitor and reduce cybersecurity product risk 

 

Job Requirements: 

  • 5+ Strong experience in full-stack development from spec/concept to Mobile & Web UI implementation, service oriented architectures, micro-services, dev-ops (ci/cd), and resilient cloud operations

  • 5+ years of professional programming experience in a high-scale internet business amidst a SaaS (cloud) operating environment

  • Strong experience  with Mobile dev  including  iOS, Android, Progressive Web & Hybrid Apps

  • Strong experience with Web dev including JavaScript, Bootstrap, AngularJS, React, HTML5, CSS3, HTTP, Rest, Json,, x-Browser compatibilities, Test frameworks, Debuggers, and other web technologies

  • Strong experience in mid-tier dev  in service oriented architectures, mesh, caching, routing, scaling, etc.

  • Strong experience with cloud-based infrastructure and administration  within the AWS environment

  • Strong experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including scaling vertical and horizontal architectures

  • Strong experience in CI/CD, Dev-Ops, QA in pipelines enabling speed, quality & efficiency 

  • Comfort with Linux/Unix command line, and associated dev tools including Github, Jenkins, Jira, etc. 

  • Experience working closely with full Agile team including Product, Design, PM, Operations, and Data Scientist teams 

  • Strong experience & passion for mentoring other developers including offshore development 

  • Technology Experience

    • Front-End: HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap Framework, AngularJS, NodeJS, GraphQL

    • Mobile: iOS, Android, React, Ionic

    • Back-End: Django/Python, Flask, RabbitMQ, Celery, Memcache, Spring/Java

    • Langs: Python, Scala, Java, JS, and more

    • Database: MySQL, Auora, Mongo, ElasticSearchDB, DocumentDB, Redis

    • DevOps: Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, JIRA, GitHub, Splunk, DataDog, etc 

    • APIs: JS, REST, JSON, GQL, and prevalent SDK tools such as Swagger, Gateways, etc.

  • Bachelors or master’s degree in Mathematics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

Great to Have: 

  • Enterprise & Startup experience

  • Digital health and industry, including HL7, FHIR, HIPAA and HITECH 

  • Experience with Docker and/or multiple different cloud-based infrastructure systems and technologies

  • Experience scaling technology solutions to hundreds of thousands active users 

  • Strong experience with unit testing and test-driven development 

  • Passion for technology commons, open source, and blogging to share your mastery

  • Mastery in architecture, high-scale operations, continuous integration-delivery and above all breadth & depth of  programming experience 

  • Technical leadership experience, with proven results, and positive colleague ratings

  • An active GitHub profile or other public code portfolio 

  • Documented work on open source projects

  • Position is located in Austin, TX. Remote employment will not be considered for this position

We are conveniently located in North Austin, but currently, all work remotely (sometimes in our pajamas).
