As a Senior Golang Engineer on the Protect team, you will work closely with the Protect Product Managers and our external partners to develop and support integration solutions to bring our digital life insurance experience to partners. You will also work to collaborate with teams across Bestow to establish roadmaps on features involving our partners. This involves diving into multiple codebases including our Python/Flask Enrollment codebase and various policy services built on event-driven Golang.

ABOUT YOU

• You have 4+ years of professional software development experience
• Professional experience with Golang (Go)
• Familiarity with React and Redux preferred, or desire to learn!
• Experience using Docker for local software development.
• An advocate for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
• Experience with distributed systems or microservices

ABOUT THE ROLE

• You will be developing core services primarily using Golang and PostgreSQL
• We're a startup with a long product roadmap. You will help and accelerate foundational services to scale the output of our product teams.
• Resolve issues with previously delivered features
• Write unit and integration tests for code you create
• Peer review code developed by others on your team
• Ensure software is secure, maintainable
• Work with designers, product managers, and other engineers
• Encourage automation and continuous improvement.
