What Your Days Will be Like:

• Deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS) using terraform, ansible and other Infrastructure as Code tools
• Lead internal team projects from design, product evaluation, project plan, implementation, and documentation to go-live and training for other team members and other teams supporting the product
• Proactively meet standards for information security and compliance such as PCI, SOX and SOC2
• Own the AWS/SSO implementation and provide L3 support to resolve identity access issues
• SME for projects that require Infrastructure support and using Infrastructure as Code
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
• Apply application, network, and OS patches as necessary. Respond to critical vulnerabilities.
• Monitor and respond to the incident management system
• Collaborate closely with other teams including Enterprise Applications, Production Operations and Security to define architectural and operational aspects of Care.com’s growing infrastructure 
• Develop and maintain infrastructure and system configuration on AWS IaaS and AWS PaaS platforms required by Care.com internal services
• Write and maintain documentation around operational and architectural aspects of the Care.com infrastructure

What You'll Need to Succeed:

• Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience managing networks, servers, and applications
• Strong Linux system administration and troubleshooting skills, especially with Amazon Linux
• Extensive experience with configuration management and infrastructure as code (Ansible, Terraform, etc…)
• Strong understanding of the AWS cloud platform, including AWS Systems Manager and IAM
• Strategic and analytical thinker with a problem-solving mindset – excellent troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with SaaS monitoring, logging, and metrics platforms (Signalfx, Loggly) a plus
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
