The Andi platform engineers work across the full application stack to build Andi, Q2's virtual banking analyst. Andi harnesses a wide array of technologies to deliver business critical insights and assistance to the right people at the right time. The Andi insights engineers create bespoke, customized Andi skills built on the Andi platform, working closely with our internal and external partners to leverage Andi to help our customers be more successful.
Q2 is seeking a Senior Manager of Engineering to be responsible for leading both Andi teams, collectively known as the Decision Intelligence Teams. You will be working at a company whose mission is to build stronger communities by strengthening their financial institutions, and working with FinTechs and startups who want to bring change and innovation to the financial world. The Decision Intelligence teams are at the forefront of innovation in the FinTech space, and you will be responsible for leading the teams to deliver high quality, innovative and secure solutions in a flexible, collaborative and rapidly changing environment. You will also work closely with our Product and Service Delivery teams to gather requirements, scope projects and deliver and implement bespoke customer solutions. This role requires a highly motivated and focused individual who is capable of leading and building high-performing innovative teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the Andi Platform engineers to design, implement, deploy and deliver high-quality, innovative solutions in support of financial institutions and fintechs
- Lead the Andi Insights engineers to design, implement, deploy and deliver bespoke Andi skills and solutions in support of our customers specific needs and requirements
- Work with cross-functional teams delivering on demanding projects
- Manage the day-today development activities for your team/managers
- Understand system interdependencies and limitations
- Work with stakeholders to establish timelines for new projects
- Participate in sprint planning, retrospective and daily scrum meetings
- Instill best practices for software development
- Responsible for ensuring that all security, availability, confidentiality, and privacy policies and controls are adhered to established standards
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
- 10+ years of previous development experience needed
- Must have at least 2+ years’ experience managing development teams
- Experience in a client interfacing role required
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Knowledge and experience in the banking industry preferred
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to remain patient with non-technical customers
