The IT & DevOps team forms the technological backbone of Mythic’s development efforts and is responsible for building, maintaining, and securing Mythic’s corporate IT and infrastructure for engineering teams.



About the role:

Mythic is a fabless semiconductor company that designs highly innovative semiconductor products by pushing the conventional boundaries of process technologies. With such innovation comes exciting technical challenges. This position is for individuals with hands-on experience in successfully developing new products from a concept phase to High Volume Production (HVM). This technical contributor will be responsible for interacting with various internal disciplines and external manufacturing suppliers in order to make data-driven decisions through all phases of the product life cycle. This is a unique opportunity without traditional boundaries. Great opportunity to learn hardware/firmware/system in the fastest-growing Artificial Intelligent (AI).

Here is what you will do:

  • In this role, you will work in a high-paced startup environment with meaningful job ownership and accountability. Following are some of the key areas of focus:
  • Responsible for all aspects of hands-on test development, characterization, and production test implementation for Artificial Intelligence products
  • Work cross-functionally with design and DFT teams at the product concept stage to ensure efficient and manufacturable testability and reliability stress testing.
  • Optimize test programs in mass-production for product manufacturability and cost reduction
  • Root-cause analyze complex failure mechanisms for AI processors
  • Increase efficiency and productivity of the test engineering team by enhancing the test techniques and implementing automation
  • Develop probe cards, load boards, and any other required hardware for semiconductor testing
  • Drive improvements for key business metrics (e.g. Quality, Cost, Test Time, Yield, etc.)
  • Comprehensive data analysis to ensure product margin to specification and to find opportunities for yield improvement and test time reduction
  • Design qualification stress HW/SW. Plan and execute qualification of new products to applicable standards
  • Validate process changes for continuous improvement of product
  • Resolve production issues, including lot disposition
  • Drive in resolution of customer returns at the device level

Here's the background we hope you have:

  • BSEE or higher and 5+ years of hands-on experience in semiconductor test development and implementation
  • Good understanding of digital, analog, flash, and high-speed IO characterization, bench correlation, and new product introduction
  • Ability to create production quality test programs on Teradyne (J750) and/or Advantest (V93K) test platforms from scratch
  • Experience in designing reliability stress hardware
  • PCB design skills for developing ATE load boards and probe cards
  • Experience with statistical data processing, DOEs, problem-solving methodologies, demonstrated decision-making skills, cost reduction, and yield enhancement
  • Data analysis using JMP or equivalent tools
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process technologies
  • Knowledge of program/project management
  • Self-starter with excellent communications skills both verbal and written
  • Must be a data-driven problem solver

The following would be nice to have, but not required:

  • Prior experience working in a startup environment
  • Prior experience working in a fabless semiconductor environment
