Chiron Health is an early stage healthcare technology company based in Austin, TX. We are looking for a senior Ruby on Rails engineer to join our growing team. The Chiron Health platform enables physicians to conduct secure video chat follow-up appointments with patients in their homes.

Great candidates have the confidence to architect top-notch Rails apps, work with modern frameworks like WebRTC, and live-and-breathe APIs. Our team loves listening to tech podcasts, reading blogs by people like Sandi Metz and talking tech. We're looking for people that share these passions. This position comes with plenty of freedom for making technology, design and architecture decisions and we'd love a person that has strong opinions in those areas.

Required Skills / Experience

• 4+ years of experience working with Ruby on Rails applications
• Experience integrating with external services through an API
• Able to use Git and Github for version control
• Experience scaling services
• Passion for writing clean code
• Must be able to work across the stack

Nice to have

• Experience with React/Redux
• Deploying N-Tier applications in AWS
• Interests in Elixir/Phoenix
